  • Customer Name:: Stained glass dome with an oval section

The stained glass dome project with an oval cross-section with a diameter of 6 and 4 meters was carried out in a residential building located in valiasr Square. This building belongs to the Qavami family and it is a triplex apartment, and this dome is located on the ceiling of the stairwell. Because the apartment was being renovated and there was a polycarbonate dome with an inappropriate shape from the past and a large chandelier was permanently attached to it without the possibility of moving, the implementation of the project had many challenges.

The oval structure is one of the stages in which many points should be taken into consideration in the execution of the dome, including the fact that there is no one wide shape in each of the slats, which made each of the slats to be designed and implemented separately. The design of the dome has gone towards classical and neoclassical according to the interior design of the space.

The lower motifs of the dome, which have continuously created a movement on the surface of the dome, and the arched forms on the top of the dome, which have a repeating rhythm.

The oval of the upper plateau of the dome is also very productive and eye-catching.

Felt sheet is used to seal the dome, which shows its external view well.

During the day, this huge dome is eye-catching in the interior with the natural lights it has on its surface, and at night, it makes the roof area look beautiful with the lighting done from the inside.
