The use of stained glass in entrance doors is very popular as one of the effective methods to create visual appeal in the exterior of luxury buildings. The entrance of buildings is always the first point that attracts the attention of the audience, and therefore it is very important.

The use of stained glass glass doors can increase this appeal and affect the audience’s perspective when entering the building. Also, flexibility in design and coordination with different interior decoration styles is one of the outstanding features of this type of glass. It has also made it a revolutionary element in decoration design.

In the entrance door project of the Sonbol Farmanieh building, which was implemented in 2019 by Archi Taj Collection, motifs inspired by Moroccan designs were used to further harmonize with the rustic style of this residential building.

The glass in this project includes acid-etched glass, sandblasted glass (matte) and textured glass. At the designer’s suggestion, to increase natural light in the lobby, colorless glass was used, which helps to let more light in and create a brighter space.

To better coordinate with the interior decoration, the metal ledge has been changed to gold. This metal, which holds the glass, is usually produced in silver but can be changed in color.

Due to the importance of safety and strength of entrance doors, the stained glass windows are laminated with two layers of tempered glass to provide high impact resistance.

This project is an example of Stain Glass’s ability to design and implement for any type of surface and cross-section with different shapes.
