Modern Velenjak false ceiling

The modern Velenjak suspended ceiling project was designed and implemented by Archie Taj in 2018. This project covers a 4.5 x 4.5 meter space with a depth of 20 centimeters. To build this stained glass suspended ceiling, first a hidden light was implemented in the empty space and then a metal chassis was designed and installed to hold the stained glass panes.

The suspended ceiling design is the façade of a modern flower in which the stained glass panes are placed. The panes are yellow and turquoise with frosted glass to limit the view to the back of the structure. This suspended ceiling was installed in the lobby of a residential tower in Velenjak. Using this design in a classic and luxurious environment has doubled the beauty and attractiveness of the lobby space.

The use of stained glass suspended ceilings shows that this art can be used in a variety of interior spaces such as doors, windows, domes and ceilings. Natural or hidden light passes through these glasses and makes the interior more attractive. In this project, Archi Taj emphasizes on making this art more recognizable to the audience.
