Lavasan Stained Glass Dome

In 2018, Archi Taj Engineering Group designed and implemented the Lavasan Stained Glass Dome project for the living room of a residential villa in Lavasan. This 4-meter-diameter opening was made by our team using rolled metal sections in accordance with relevant regulations.

Design and Construction of the Stained Glass Dome

We designed a glass dome with a diameter of 4 meters and a height of 1.30 meters, consisting of 12 sheets of stained glass. We performed full welding to connect the metal parts, and after conducting welding tests, the supervisors approved all the connections. After completing the skeleton, we made the structure resistant to decay using electrostatic paint.

Classic Design Inspired by the Building’s Architecture

With the cooperation and suggestions of the client, we chose a classic design for the stained glass dome. We used warm colors such as orange and red to create a glow of natural sunlight in the interior. By combining cut and patterned glass, sunlight is artistically scattered on the floor of the hall.

Sky view and more exposure
To meet the client’s need for a view of the sky and more light, we used transparent glass. This glass provides a better view of the sky and directs the light well inside.
