Stained glass dome project with elliptic cross section and 4m and 6m diameters, has been done in Vali-Asr square.
This building was belonged to Ghavami family and is in a triplex building form in which this dome is located on void ceiling of staircase. According to the building is under reconstruction and there was a dome with poly carbonate material with old inappropriate form on it, and a large and immovable luster was connected to it, the project execution had several challenges.
The elliptic construction is of cross sections including some detail as non-uniformity of extended form in each of skeletons causes any of skeletons designed and executed separately, when dome execution. Design of dome is inclined to classic and neoclassic, according to interior design of space. Lower motifs of dome which has made a movement in dome surface continuously and consequently, and arc forms in upper side of dome having a repetitive rhythm. Also, ellipse of upper flat in dome, are so prolific and eye-catching.
Flat plate has been used for sealing of dome, which shows its outer surface clearly.
