The skylight stained-glass project of a residential villa in Seoul Street was given to the professional Archi Taj group in 1396.
This residential villa belonged to a neurology surgeon who looked for a place for relaxation and peace.
Mr. Shaygan (engineer) who was responsible for building this construct, proposed cooperation with the R. Chi Taj group for building an efficient and beautiful skylight.
The space related to this skylight had a rectangular shape with the dimensions of 3.20*2 meters in the ceiling of this villa and it supplies suitable light for the whole space.
Locating a stained-glass skylight in such a space will ease off the light entrance to the building and filtering the natural light creates colors.
We designed the stained-glass skylight with inspiration from the tiles used on the floor of the hall under the skylight.
This creates an integrated atmosphere from an architectural view and a good connection with other decorating elements.
Utilizing Iranian style has made the skylight design close to the general project plan.
The colors which have been used in this plan, (blue, cyan, and red) create a beautiful mixture of light and color in the inner space of the villa.
Also, in some parts of the plan, matt glasses have been used which make the false ceiling hide and this increases the beauty.
In the highest part of the stained-glass skylight, an inclined false ceiling from laminate tempered glass has been built that guides the rainfall water to the exit way.
On both sides of the structure, two windows have been located to reach the stained-glass skylight.
In seams where two laminate tempered glass meet each other, insulation is supplied with aluminum pieces (fish powder) and under-pressure rubbers.
The living room space is located under the skylight to guarantee the structure immunity.
It is noteworthy that the design and placement of this simple assumed structure are somehow that besides creating security, has not diminished the beauty.
